Hex Lex is a challenging and enjoyable way to learn and practise English words, collocations, phrases and context-sensitive items.

Games cover meaning, collocations, definitions, grammar, classification, sound and contextual aspects of words and phrases. Players are required to categorise, define, discriminate and match.

There are two game modes, (Hex and Trix) . Games can be played by teams in the classroom, or by pairs and individuals in the self-access centre.

Teachers can easily add to the 100+ games using the Editor, inputting vocabulary relevant to their teaching. Teachers of other languages can write in or translate games in any language. Extra games are downloadable from the website, so you can build Hex Lex into an expanding bank of materials.
