Read Up - Speed Up is a speed-reading program which has been developed to improve learner's reading speeds and text-chunking skills and to counter sub-vocalisation.

The program is divided into four levels: Elementary, Pre-intermediate, Intermediate and Post-intermediate.

The learner chooses a text to read from a bank of 20 texts per level. The texts fall into three categories: business-related, science and technology, and general interest.

Students then choose the number of lines they want to see displayed at one time and the number of seconds they have to read them.

The program then runs through the text using the parameters set by the learner.

Once having read the text, the learner then completes a comprehension test.

Read Up - Speed Up is editable, so you can add texts specifically relevant to your students. Simple and very effective!

Read Up - Speed Up provides useful preparation for IELTS and academic reading at the higher levels, and a valuable focus on improving reading skills at lower levels.
