In Author Plus Pro you have an export feature that creates a ZIP file with all the content of your course that you can download to your computer. We encourage you to do this often to minimise the risk of losing work - whether Author Plus is running from Clarity's servers or your own.
This feature is not available in Author Plus Light, but our server backs up your content every day (if it changes) and we will be very happy to create a ZIP file for you so that you have your own copy. Please send your request for this to support@clarityenglish.com.
We use a SQLServer database to hold your learners' progress records, with daily backs up. We can restore any data that gets lost for you if you give us a restore date.
At present, the standard installation does not protect the database with a password and you cannot protect it with file permissions as all users must be able to read and write to it. We are changing this, but in the meantime, if you need to be able to protect your database please contact us for a temporary update. support@clarityenglish.com
