Below are links to upgrades for all of the Clarity programs. These are free, technical upgrades based on the latest CDs (the CD number is printed on the front of each CD). If you want to upgrade from an older CD, contact Clarity, support@clarityenglish.com, to request an upgrade. Tell us your serial number or institution name, the program and your current version, along with the purchase date if possible. We will let you know if you are entitled to a free or discounted upgrade. Please note that you need to have registered your programs in order to receive free upgrades.

Aug 2007: Business Writing. Major upgrade including new structure, new materials, significant technical enhancements. You will see the technical number 6.5 on the front screen for online accounts and 6.4.2.7 for the network version. The CD is labelled CD-110A.
Jun 2007: Study Skills Success. Enhanced screen size, minor data changes, minor technical changes. You will see the technical number 6.5 on the front screen for online accounts and 6.4.2.7 for the network version. The CD is labelled CD-103A.
Author Plus There will be a new release of Author Plus at the end of April 2008. This will include the ability to author Tense Buster, Business Writing and Study Skills Success as well as enhanced screen size and minor technical changes. You will see the technical number 6.5 on the front screen for online accounts and 6.4.2.5 for the network version. The CD is labelled CD-102A.
Results Manager is Version 2.4. The CD is labelled CD-102A.
Every exercise in Tense Buster V9 has been updated in some way. There are many new exercises and a few old ones have been removed. This means that the learner progress records for an exercise from Tense Buster 2001 are no longer equivalent to records from the same exercise in Tense Buster V9. To maintain the integrity of the records, we have separated those from the old version and those from the new. No records are lost and you will have full access to everything your learners have done.
When you open Results Manager, you will now see a Tense Buster 2001 section as well as Tense Buster V9. The 2001 section holds all progress records held when we switched your account to the new Tense Buster content. It will not change, but you can still create reports based on it.
All new learner records from now on will appear in the new Tense Buster section in Results Manager.
When learners click the progress button in Tense Buster they will not see their old records any more - the list will reflect the work that they have done using the new content.

If you are running an account that is hosted on Clarity's server, we will automatically update your software as new versions are released. If you are self-hosting, please contact us if you want to upgrade.
When you start any program it will show you a technical version number on the first screen that you see. Currently, all online accounts are running Version 6.5.
If you have a CD, you can also see a printed reference number on the front, usually at the bottom. Example: Road to IELTS has CD-112G printed on it.
We are making all the Clarity programs authorable. At present you can use Author Plus to add, move and delete exercises in a course. With the new upgrades you will also be able to edit most exercises and add new units. Tense Buster, Study Skills Success and Business Writing have all been upgraded with this feature. You will need a new version of Author Plus to be able to take advantage of this integration.
By using a new Results Manager feature called My Group, you can give groups of learners and their teachers privacy from the rest of the institution. This lets you hide content that you don't want them to see and to author content that only your group will see. Teachers also no longer see learners from the whole institution, just those in their own group.
